Today, on the anniversary of its 1994 release, we look back on the Tim Robbins/Morgan Freeman prison drama as one of the greatest films of all time; it’s even the number one rated movie of all time on IMDB.
But did you know back in when it was first released it was a total flop??
Luckily, the Oscar nominated film finally found its audience on home video and thousands of TNT airings.
