The View‘s Sherri Shepherd and TV writer Lamar Sally are engaged.
The day after Christmas, the couple arrived back at Lamar’s El Lay home after a trip to San Diego. The inside of the house was decorated with lights, and Sherri found her dog wearing a Santa beard and hat.
In the middle of the room was a bowl of M&Ms (which is her favorite, but banned because of her diabetes). And in the bowl was a tiny box!
Before the actual proposal, Lamar had to win approval of Sherri’s 10-year-old son, Jeffrey, so he bought the lil’ one Michael Jackson’s Wii game and all was well. Lamar proposed on one knee to the sounds of the King of Pop.
The couple have been together for more than a year and plan to marry in August in Chicago.
