The baby is due today!
But we’re still not sure who is getting custody of the child!
Sherri Shepherd and her estranged husband Lamar Sally are expecting their baby via surrogacy at any point going forward as the official due date is July 31st aka today!!!
That information was confirmed by Lamar Sally when he said:
“The date for [our surrogate] to deliver is the 31st. [She’s due] any time this week, actually. I am on baby watch.”
But the question on everyone’s minds is who is going to get custody of the baby boy? Especially since it seems like Sherri doesn’t really want the child anymore.
And although it’s clear that Lamar Sally wants full custody of the unborn child, he also is willing to sue the about-to-be former View host if she tries to back out of their surrogacy contract.
Sherri believes that her husband, whom she is legally separated from, tricked her into having a child via surrogacy with the full knowledge that he planned on divorcing her. She claims he did all this so he could get child support from her!
Sherri, who recently won her other custody battle against her ex husband Jeffrey Tarpley over their son Jeffrey Jr, has had a busy previous few weeks so she may be stalling with regards to this matter.
Which seems to be the case as Lamar Sally is unsure what the answer is to the custody question at hand. He said:
“It’s still unclear what’s going on.”
We hope they figure it out soon!
Ideally it would be a lot better if they knew the custody status of the baby boy via surrogacy BEFORE he’s born and not afterwards!
