Raise your hand if you knew Shia LeBeouf writes and draws his own graphic novels!
Crazy, right??
Well he just hit up the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo and bought his own table — and mingled with fans as one of them. He sold his own stuff and signed for anybody who wanted a copy!
Shia has actually drawn and written a FEW graphic novels, including Stale N Mate, Cyclical and Let’s ├óΓé¼┬ª Party, and the webcomics series Cheek Up’s, and they’re all sold through his self-publishing website.
Here’s what he has said about the experience so far:
“I just did it for fun. I had some downtime and I’ve always been a big fan of comic books. Having an opportunity to blend in with 5,000 fans all enjoying the same thing. I’ve said it’s like singing in the shower. It’s very free and without edit. I do love acting. But this is a fun escape once in a while.”
We think it’s fab when celebs branch out and try new things!
Though … James Franco is pretty much a pro at it, that’s for sure!
