In the past, Grey’s Anatomy creator, Shonda Rhimes, has made it crystal clear that Katherine Heigl won’t be coming back to the hit doctor-drama EVER!!
We loved Izzy Stevens, but thanks to Oprah’s Next Chapter, we were reminded why a reunion with the fiery blonde is NOT in any of our futures.
When Shonda reflects on 2008— when Katherine removed her name from Emmy consideration because she didn’t think she was given gritty enough material— we can almost see the smoke coming out of ears!!!
Shonda told Oprah:
“On some level it stung and on some level I was not surprised. When people show you who they are, believe them. I carry that with me a lot. It has served me well.”
Even though Katherine apologized for the incident two years later, it was definitely too little, too late!!
There’s a BIG lesson that can be learned from Katherine’s behavior: DON’T bite the hand that feeds you!!
At least Katherine will always have her popular and critically-acclaimed romantic comedies!
We can’t wait to hear the rest of their candid conversation on Sunday at 9!!
