So in case you hadn’t heard, someone at Deadline wrote an op-ed that wondered allowed, “sure we’re getting more ethnic diversity on TV, but is it TOO MUCH ethnic diversity on TV?”
No, srsly.
The title of the article is Pilots 2015: The Year Of Ethnic Casting — About Time Or Too Much Of A Good Thing?

Basically the article posits that after scoring big hits with Empire, Fresh Off The Boat, and How To Get Away With Murder, networks are making a big push to put more ethnicities front and center on TV — but that this initiative is wrong because it’s hurting white actors!
WELL, Shonda Rhimes, the executive producer of HTGAWM — as well as the creator of Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy — has a response to that! She tweeted:
Ha! No surprise that Shonda’s reply was sharp and well-written!
In fact, the tweet is getting its own pilot in the fall! LOLz!

For realz though, what are they thinking?? Getting more faces and voices on TV is a good thing!
