Why would somebody do this?
Simon Cowell, in no fault of his own, is NOT producing a celebrity charity single for the tragedy in Japan like was recently announced.
It turns out that somebody, with the help of a fake Simon Cowell Twitter account, was behind that announcement.
What would compel someone to make a promise like that in the wake of something so tragic?? Even if the thought-process was to somehow force a single to be made anyway because so many people are now expecting it, there was always a good chance that it wouldn’t work out like that.
It’s still wonderful to see people actually helping, though, like Sandra Bullock!
That’s not saying that Simon and the rest won’t be helping eventually too!

UPDATE: On a positive note, Simon├óΓé¼Γäós spokeswoman revealed to us that Cowell├óΓé¼Γäós company is planning something… can’t wait to hear what it is!
