That’s right! The meanie behind the Idol and X Factor desk has a soft spot for Miley Cyrus.
Why and where that soft spot exists, we couldn’t say, but for whatever reason, Simon Cowell likes her enough to pick arguably her most popular song as the musical selection for the X Factor finale.
The Brit chose Miley’s hit The Climb to be sung by the four remaining contestants. Each will perform a rendition of the tune for the show, but the song choice has the two older contenders nervous.
An insider from the show says that finalists Olly Murs, 25, and Danyl Johnson, 27, fear the song , clearly meant to attract a younger audience, means that one of the two younger contestants are more likely to win.
Furthermore, the insider reveals that the gents had trouble connecting with the song during their rehearsals, adding “It’s a very girly song so Olly and Danyl weren’t that great at it.”
We bet. Miley is supposed to sing the damn thing and she isn’t even that great at it.
Guess this means it’ll either be Joe McElderry or Stacey Solomon who will win this thing. The insider said that they “wowed” everyone with their versions.
