Simon “secretly has a huge heart and probably really likes to cuddle” Cowell was recently interviewed and point-blankly asked who he was most proud of breaking and producing over the years.
To that, he said without much hesitation, Leona Lewis!
Here’s what he said exactly:
“I would say Leona Lewis. When I first met her, she auditioned on the X Factor. She was very shy and didn├óΓé¼Γäót believe in herself and then turned into this fantastic artist by the end. So I guess Leona, because she├óΓé¼Γäós the reason why we do these shows.”
Such good reasons, Simon!
He also had some wonderful advice for aspiring kids, which we def have to share with you:
“Ok, let├óΓé¼Γäós assume I├óΓé¼Γäóm talking to someone aged between 12 and 16, because this is a new category we├óΓé¼Γäóre bringing into the show this year. I would say: Never listen to your parents. And work it out for yourself, who you want to be, and don├óΓé¼Γäót be afraid to be different because this is a time now where being original or being different is paying off. And don├óΓé¼Γäót be afraid of criticism, like the girl [Rebecca Black] who did that ├óΓé¼┼ôFriday├óΓé¼┬¥ song, one of the most famous people in the world right now. Most people can├óΓé¼Γäót stand her record but everyone├óΓé¼Γäós talking about her.”
What a beautiful way to inspire the young talent, Simon. And it was such a nice thing to say about Rebecca, we’re sure she’s thrilled!
