As reported earlier, Britney Spears is still in talks to join the X Factor judge’s table, even after rejecting a $10 million offer.
Now it looks like talks are heating up … and Simon Cowell is super hush hush on the deets. Sources are saying very cryptic statements to the media, such as “anything is possible” and “‘[I’ve] heard they are in negotiations.”

Simon says that he and Team X Factor are flattered that Brit Brit has interest in the show, but he said the following about dishing any secrets:
I’ve learned a big lesson: Keep your mouth shut. Don’t give it all away.

Janet Jackson and Avril Lavigne‘s names have circled the rumor mill but everyone wants Britney to be locked down first.
