Simon Pegg, who plays Scotty the engineer, has been hired to co-write the next movie!
Seeing as he also co-wrote Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz, we’re taking this as a very good sign of things to come!
Simon will be working with Dark Blue creator Doug Jung on the script. And with Fast & Furious director Justin Lin at the helm, this could be the best Trek yet!
Star Trek 3 is set to come out July 8, 2016.
