Praise the lord.
In a move we’re fairly certain nobody was asking for, Disney announced on Wednesday that they will be rebooting Sister Act for the modern day.
The Whoopi Goldberg movie about a singer masquerading as a nun to escape a murderer was a huge hit back in 1992, but we’re not sure if this particular franchise needed to be remade.
We already had to sit through Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit as well as a Broadway musical, but who knows, maybe this new sequel will be worth it.

There’s no word about casting or filming, but we’d love to see Kathy Najimy, Maggie Smith, and Whoopi get back to their old antics — Maybe they could all be cardinals running around making a mockery of the papal duties… No?
Plus, this is probably the reason that Tron 3 got cancelled last week — Ouch!
