Slumdog Millionaire is an international hit!
The flick did great at the Golden Globes recently, where it won every category it was nominated in.
And, now Slumdog has just received a whopping 11 nominations for the BAFTA awards. It’s the U.K. version of the Oscars.
Millionaire was nominated in six major categories including best picture, best director for Danny Boyle, and best actor for Dev Patel. The movie also received several design nominations.
Also getting a lot of buzz is The Curious Case of Benjamin Button which was also nominated in 11 categories, including best film, best actor (for Bradley Pitt) and best director.
The winners will be announced later on February 8th at London’s Royal Opera House.
