After two seriously fierce hours of competition on the So You Think You Can Dance finale, contestant Ricky Ubeda emerged victorious as the winner of season 11.
Ricky, a contemporary dancer, took home a whopping $250k and snagged a coveted spot on the Broadway production, Our Town.

Last week, the Miami native’s interpretation of Birdy‘s Not About Angels ultimately sealed his win and status as a fan favorite.
The rest of the talented finalists finished like this: Zack Everhart in 4th place, Jessica Richens in 3rd place and Valerie Rockey in 2nd place. Though the remaining contestants went home empty-handed, they were still absolutely thrilled for Ricky.
Valerie gushed:
“Ricky, you’re such a beautiful dancer. I learned so much from you.”
Aw, how sweet!
Ricky himself said of the victory:
There are so many things I would like to say. I dreamed of this exact moment for so long and the fact that it just now became a reality is so unreal. I’m never going to forget this experience. … I just can’t believe this is happening.”
