Such a wonderful opportunity!
In an effort to raise awareness of lung cancer, Desperate Housewives star Kathryn Joosten will be playing herself in an upcoming episode of The Bold & The Beautiful.
The episode will have particular relevance to Kathryn as she herself is a lung cancer survivor, and will be able to bring a more intimate knowledge of the character to the show.
Says Kathryn:
“Susan and I have some great scenes together, discussing the disease very realistically. There’s a real stigma attached to all this. Lung cancer is thought of like AIDS in the ’80s – it’s considered the disease you gave yourself.”
Her episode will be the 6,000th of the show’s run. We can’t wait!
