Very exciting news for Soap fans!
Back in May, hardcore fans of All My Children and One Life to Live were NOT happy that their shows were being cancelled, and to express their anger, they wrote a letter to ABC’s president of daytime Brian Frons, AND they went so far as to protest outside The Lincoln Center in NYC.
Looks like ABC was listening, because even though the shows may not continue on TV, they’ll have a new home on the Internet.
According to a press release by ABC, both soap operas will continue on the web “as part of a multi-year licensing deal with upstart media firm Prospect Park.”
We’re very pleased to hear about this, and we hope they’ll also make room for General Hospital if that soap goes off the air as well.
Nice move, ABC! You’ve def earned some points in our book for this one!
Will U watch these soap operas when they hit the web?
