In her quest for world domination, Sofia Vergara has now checked having her own perfume off the list!
The Modern Family star will be releasing her first fragrance, Sofia, next month on HSN, but she didn’t make the business decision lightly.
She said:
“I wanted to make sure it was a great product and that I was going with the right people. I usually don’t like getting into things where I don’t have a say. I just don’t want to give them my name and say, ‘Do whatever you want.’ I am trying to create my brand. I’ve been able to do many other projects. I have my clothing line, the makeup, the hair, the furniture, and this was something that really rounds out my brand.”
As for the scent itself, Sofia wanted something authentic that would also remind her of home. She explained:
├óΓé¼┼ôI have orchids and roses because those are my favorite flowers, and they├óΓé¼Γäóre Colombian. I wanted to bring a little bit of who I am, my ethnicity, where I├óΓé¼Γäóm from, and I thought it was very cool to be able to get flowers from Colombia actually into the perfume.”
Meanwhile, the bottle design, which was cut to look like an emerald, reflects the actress’ love of jewelry.
With her clothing line at Kmart and endorsement deal with Head & Shoulders, among many other projects, the Colombian bombshell is steadily and successfully building her brand.
Who knows what she has up her sleeve next!
