Congrats to the happy couple!
In an exclusive with Vogue on Wednesday, Sophia Bush revealed she and Ashlyn Harris are indeed wife and wife!
The One Tree Hill alum and former pro soccer player wed in the summer of 2025 in an intimate upstate New York ceremony. Ashlyn’s children, 5-year-old Sloane and 4-year-old Ocean, whom she shares with former wife Ali Krieger were the guests.

The two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champion recalls being very present and in the moment the day of, telling the mag:
“The kids were just running and happy, and we picked flowers from the property and our daughter Sloane was holding them. It was so fun for them, because it wasn’t this pressure-filled day that’s too much for young kids. It was so precious, and zero pressure. I will never forget it, and I think wedding days sometimes aren’t like that.”
As for how they spilled the news to friends and family, Ashley explains they made visits all across the country to personally share their big life moment with everyone who matters most to them. She says:
“We got to have personal experiences with everyone we love, and once we got through all of those, how do we put it out? Because I don’t want to keep sitting on panels or in interviews and being like, ‘My partner.'”
She then turns to Ashlyn and gushes:
“You’re my wife. And it feels so amazing to say that.”
The two have been together three years now and married for one. Sophia, who was previously married twice — once to OTH co-star Chad Michael Murray, and again with tech and businessman Grant Hughes — knows third time’s the charm for her:
“When you get to this stage in your life, you begin to unpack what’s yours and what’s always sort of been for everyone else.”
In an excerpt from her upcoming memoir, And I Will Tell You Mine: Notes from a Life in Progress, Sophia explains why she took a chance on getting married again:
“A friend asked how I could still believe in marriage knowing what I knew about how it could end. It surprised me how quickly and clearly I knew the answer. That if in ten years she and I grew into different people and didn’t want to be together, I would rather get divorced all over again—and do it with the love and tenderness I’d always thought was the goal in the first place—than miss my chance at being married to her at all. I felt it in my bones.”
Wow. That’s really beautiful.
These two are clearly deeply in love with one another. Fans may have had questions when they first began dating, but there is no denying the depth of the bond they share. Sophia chose courage and love, and she’s never been happier.
