Game of Thrones may have arguably gotten a few things wrong with the beloved series over the years, but one thing they absolutely nailed was the casting!
In fact, it was so spot on that a Sansa Stark body double fooled Sophie Turner‘s husband Joe Jonas into thinking it was his wife on set… and he actually tried to kiss her!

During an interview with Nova’s Smallzy’s Surgery on Thursday to promote her latest film, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, the 23-year-old recalled the funny incident.
She explained:
“On Game of Thrones actually, I had a photo double that people would do double takes at because she looked so much like me. It was insane. Even Joe went up to her at one point and tried to give her a kiss and he was like ‘Oh, Sorry! Sorry, it’s not Sophie, wrong one!'”
OMG! We can’t even imagine how awkward that must have been. LOLz…

In case you’re wondering who could’ve fooled the Jonas Brothers frontman so easily, it’s actress Megan Parkinson!
Die-hard GoT fans will definitely recognize her as the same woman who played Alys Karstark, a relative of the Starks (including Turner’s character) in the show’s universe.
For reference, ch-ch-check out the resemblance (below):

Okay, okay. We totally see how this could’ve happened!
Luckily, the newlywed couple didn’t run into the same problem with Sophie’s Dark Phoenix stunt double.
In the interview, she jokingly explained the biggest difference between her and her doppelgänger this time around:
“They don’t really look like me. First of all, they are much fitter, have much more muscle and just better looking aesthetically in general.”
Gurl, stop it — you’re absolutely gorgeous, too! But honestly, this kind of cheeky humor about the whole situation just makes us love her even more.
Before wrapping up the conversation, the starlet shared another funny little story from her GoT days that included real life bestie and on-screen sister, Maisie Williams.
Turner shared that she and the Arya Stark portrayer would try to trick the cast and crew into thinking they were dating.
“We fully knew [that people thought we were together]. We played into it. We did. So on the set, we would kind of do the scene then try and kiss each other in the middle of the scene and see if anyone would react.”
She added:
“It’s Game of Thrones, so incest is so normal that they were like, ‘All right, that’s fine.’ It was probably the most tame thing that happened on the show, actually.”
Between this and Joe’s story, it sounds like a lot of kissing went down on that Thrones set. LOLz.
