Governor Schwarzenegger has just declared a state of emergency in California over the swine flu virus.
In proclaiming the emergency, Schwarzenegger cautioned that “there is no need for alarm.”
Schwarzenegger’s proclamation on Tuesday sets in motion a series of administrative actions, including ordering all agencies to coordinate with public health officials as needed.
These actions will help coordinate efforts in response to the outbreak of swine flu, and – more importantly – hopefully prevent any further spreading of the virus.
