After the HUGE success of The Sound Of Music LIVE, NBC is ready to jump right back into the world of musical theatre!
According to NBC entertainment division Chairman Robert Greenblatt, the network is already making plans to bring back producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan for another live version of a Broadway classic!
And it sounds like they’ll have their pick of the litter! Robert says:
“All weekend, people have been calling us and emailing us. Rights holders of musicals have said, ‘Please do one of our shows.’ We’re excited to try it again.”
Robert says they’re already “circling a couple of titles!” But why stop at one? They could do this every year! Robert says:
“There├óΓé¼Γäós enough to do a handful of these over the next years, if we keep increasing the learning curve. There may be a little bit of a phenomenon to the first one of these. Who knows what happens Year 2, 3 or 4. But you├óΓé¼Γäóve got to have events. I think we could do this again ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and again and again.”
OMG! The possibilities are endless! But which show should they take on next??
