Spirit Airlines Passenger Arrested After Woman Wakes Up To Him 'Shoving His Fingers In Her Vagina'

A man flying Spirit Airlines was arrested this week after a female passenger said she woke up mid-flight with his hand shoved down her pants.
Prabhu Ramamoorthy was arrested at Detroit Metropolitan Airport on Wednesday and later charged with aggravated sexual abuse after a 22-year-old passenger claimed the man sexually assaulted her while she slept.

The woman told officials after dosing off on the flight from Las Vegas to Detroit, she woke up in her window seat with her shirt and pants undone and Ramamoorthy’s hand down her pants.
According to the criminal complaint, Ramamoorthy was “shoving his fingers in her vagina and vigorously moving them,” while his wife was reportedly sitting in the other seat next to him.
The alleged victim immediately reported the incident to flight attendants. Ramamoorthy was arrested at the airport when the plane landed and, according to authorities, can’t seem to keep his story straight.

Initially, the traveler told officials in a written statement he was “in deep sleep” and the woman had fallen on his knees. But later in a separate interview, he allegedly admitted he “might have” undone the woman’s bra “while playing with it.” Bit of a difference there.
He also confessed to cupping her breasts over her clothes — but maintains he was “not successful” in sticking his fingers “in her vagina,” even though he tried to.
A spokesperson for Spirit said the airline is fully cooperating with authorities.
