If you’ve heard of them, they’re involved!
We’re talkin’ sports legends, celebs, corporate leaders, the media, etc… they all attended this week├óΓé¼Γäós 27th Annual Great Sports Legends Dinner, which was hosted by The Buoniconti Fund To Cure Paralysis.
Bob Costas, which might remember from your TVs this summer during the Olympics, returned as Master of Ceremonies at the event, which paid tribute to philanthropic heroes and sports legends that inspire and motivate those affected by spinal cord injuries.
It worked. The dinner raised nearly $18 million — a huge gain for the cause!
Some of this year’s honorees included Shaquille O’Neal, Joe Torre, Marshall Faulk, Tony Perez, Mark Martin, Lorena Ochoa, Jake LaMotta and Lisa Leslie!
The Buoniconti Fund, is the fundraising arm of The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, the world├óΓé¼Γäós most comprehensive spinal cord injury research center — and since 1985, they’ve managed to raise over $93 million!
Incredible!
We’re so glad it went well!
