Dori Spivak became Isreal’s first appointed openly gay judge on Sunday for Tel Aviv’s Labour court. A Harvard graduate and former chairman of Israel├óΓé¼Γäós Association for Civil Rights, Dori has brought awareness to many high profile gay cases over the years as a lawyer and is a strong voice for the global gay community.
A fellow lawyer for ACRI, told an Israeli newspaper that Dori’s appointment would “contribute to developing human rights” and we couldn’t agree more1
