Stacey Dash will not be returning to Season 2 of Vh1‘s first scripted series Single Ladies.
The Clueless star is saying farewell to the Queen Latifah-produced project so that she can return to El Lay. The show is currently filmed in Atlanta. In a statement, Stacey said:
“I have to be back in L.A. with my children right now and the Single Ladies shooting location makes this impossible. I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in Season 1.”
Vh1 also released a statement about her exit from the show:
“VH1 respects Stacey├óΓé¼Γäós decision and her commitment to what she feels is best for her family. We thank her for all of her hard work in making Single Ladies a success right out of the gate, and we wish her nothing but the best in her future plans.”
Hmm, seems a little sudden that she’s leaving the show. Maybe there’s something more to this story…?
In the meantime, we wish you well, Stacey.
