Ahh! Caesar Flickerman gives such great Kiki!
While doing press for Jack the Giant Slayer, the ah-mazingly adorable Stanley Tucci graciously fed his fans some delicious behind-the-scenes dirt on the making of Catching Fire!
He was asked point blank the differences between working under Gary Ross, the dude who directed the fab first Hunger Games before mysteriously stepping aside, and Francis Lawrence, his replacement.
Stanley revealed:
“Gary, I think, did an amazing job on the first movie. They’re very different directors but I think Francis is maintaining, without question, the integrity of those characters and being true to the book… He’s a very wonderful director… Gary is very talkative, garrulous, gregarious, and Francis is very quiet.”
Well, that’s intriguing diplomatic!
Regardless, we’re thrilled Stanley, Josh Hutcherson, and Jennifer Lawrence (no relation!) are becoming bestiez with their new boss-man!
Francis is directing both Mockingjay films, after all, and we’d hate for sour milk to ruin the whole pot of clam chowder!
In case you haven’t already engraved it into your forearm, the Catching Fire victory tour comes through your neighborhood on November, 22!
