This is not the criminal you’re looking for!
A Salina, Kansas store owner called the police on Monday afternoon to report a man with a gun walking down the street.
Police came out in force, but fortunately when they arrived at the scene, they only found… a guy in a Star Wars costume.
The perp- a silly new Vine maker who goes by the handle of Stormtrooper Sam- was dressed in a classic stormtrooper costume; the gun was his plastic toy blaster. Sam said:
“Star Wars is such an iconic image, I was a little bit surprised that someone would see a Stormtrooper and fear when you know it’s been around since the 70’s.”
Well, the business owner may have been one of the 12 people on the planet who haven’t seen Star Wars, but police understood very quickly the mistake that had been made.
They simply told Sam and his cameraman to be careful when bringing the toy guns out in public and sent them on their way.
Don’t they know that Stormtroopers can’t hit the broad side of a sail barge anyway?
