R2-D2 it IS you! This IS the droid we’re looking for!
George Osbourne may be the Chancellor of the Exchequer in England, but he has as much power as Supreme Chancellor Palpatine when it comes to Star Wars because he was able to snag a photo not only with R2, but with director JJ Abrams and Lucasfilm’s president Kathy Kennedy!
George posted the image to Twitter along with this caption:
“With #StarWars director J.J Abrams and Lucasfilm president Kathy Kennedy, talking to a key cast member..”
Also worth noting in the background is a set piece that looks almost identical to a part of the Millennium Falcon. We kind of feel like Boba Fett tracking it down!
We’re excited to see some more photos from the set! And of course we could always use more R2 in our life.
