Star Wars Monopoly FINALLY Adding Rey After Major Backlash!

It’s about time!
As we previously reported, Hasbro made a MAJOR flub AGAIN by leaving out the character of Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, from their newly released Star Wars-themed Monopoly game.
The company had previously failed to include the lead female character from The Force Awakens in certain toy sets and instead included generic stormtroopers.

Both of their blunders caused fans to take to social media and complain about the missing main character by using the hashtags #WheresRey and #WhereIsRey.
Apparently the toy company has received so much backlash that they decided to do something about it! They’re now going to include the fan-favorite character of Rey in an updated version of the game!
A spokesperson for Hasbro released a statement saying:

“We love the passion fans have for Rey, and are happy to announce that we will be making a running change to include her in the Monopoly: Star Wars game available later this year.”

Of course the original — and RIDICULOUS — reason the company gave for not including the character was they didn’t want to add her because they felt it would spoil a key plot line.
Anyone who’s seen the movie by now knows they could have TOTALLY found a way to put Rey in the game without giving anything away!
What do you think of Hasbro’s damage control?
