The Starbucks Holiday Cup Is Here -- And It's SO UGLY!

no title
Do we seriously have to look at this while we’re drinking our morning joe?
Starbucks released the surprise design Tuesday morning after images of a more traditional red cup leaked online Monday.
The cup, available to customers starting November 1, celebrates unity with artist Shogo Ota‘s “mosaic of more than a hundred people drawn in one continuous stroke.”

As impressive as that may be, it doesn’t make the thing any nicer to look at…
Maybe if they didn’t coat the people in green. We mean, it looks like they’re having us do a Where’s Waldo using night vision goggles.

Chairman and CEO Howard Schultz said of the design:

“The green cup and the design represent the connections Starbucks has as a community with its partners and customers. During a divisive time in our country, Starbucks wanted to create a symbol of unity as a reminder of our shared values, and the need to be good to each other.”

Couldn’t we all just have united over our mutual desire for delicious caffeinated beverages?
What do YOU think, Perezcious readers and Frappuccino drinkers??
