Whenever advertisers start to flee, an apology is sure to follow — and that’s where we’re at now with Stassi Schroeder.
The Vanderpump Rules star is feeling the heat this weekend after some controversial comments she made earlier this week on an episode of her Straight Up With Stassi podcast that revolved around the #MeToo campaign and sexual misconduct in Hollywood.

Stassi had released an episode entitled Are We On A Male Witch Hunt?, during which she talked about sexual misconduct accusers in a way that angered a LOT of listeners — so much so that earlier this week, the producers went in and deleted the episode altogether!!!
It was too late, though, because backlash was already coming: on Friday, two companies — Rent the Runway and Simple Contacts — both announced they’d cut ties with the star and her podcast over the comments.
Simple Contacts even tweeted a full statement out about pulling ads (below):
Simple Contacts doesn’t agree with or condone the opinions of @stassi. We’ve pulled our ads from her podcast. Full statement below. pic.twitter.com/xnPU0Sl62S

Now, Stassi herself is getting in the game and apologizing for her actions.
She tweeted a statement on Saturday (below):

And quickly followed it up with more this morning, too (below):
These 24 hours have been sobering: I want to share your stories on my podcast: on either side, being accused of something you didn’t do or being victimized & left helpless. Let├óΓé¼Γäós discuss it all. [email protected]
