While Vanderpump Rules is already a spin-off of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills itself, we think Lisa Vanderpump‘s docuseries is officially a franchise in its own right.
That’s because despite little promotion from the network, Monday night’s all-new #PumpRules actually served as a backdoor pilot for Bravo‘s newest reality TV show, Summer House!

Stassi Schroeder, Katie Maloney, Kristen Doute, and Scheana Shay have been vacationing in Montauk for two weeks now… and while we assumed they were there for Stassi’s birthday, it turns out their trip was all just a ploy to get viewers familiar with the Wirkus Twins ahead of SH‘s premiere next week.
Unfortunately for Stassi, she made the mistake of flirting with brand new Bravolebrity Kyle Cooke — who took little time getting into his douchebag persona, insulting his superior’s swimsuit while comparing her to Steve Jobs.
Ouch!
However, the episode wasn’t a complete waste for Vanderpump Rules fans, because Lisa somehow managed to convince Lala Kent NOT to quit for roughly the millionth time!
We can’t wait to see how long that lasts…
