Disgraced Actor Stephen Collins Marries '7th Heaven' Super Fan Half His Age Years After Molestation Scandal

Stephen Collins marries woman half his age

Years before the downfalls of Harvey Weinstein, Matt Lauer, and Kevin Spacey, actor Stephen Collins was booed out of Hollywood after admitting he inappropriately touched one girl and exposed himself to two others between 1973 and 1994.

Now, five years after the 72-year-old’s admission cost him his career in 2014, he’s living a simple, pastoral life in Iowa with a wife half his age.

According to DailyMail.com, the 7th Heaven star now lives in the small town of Fairfield with his 32-year-old bride Jenny Nagel, whom he married in late July. It’s unclear how the lovebirds met, but she’s been seen on her Facebook wearing a diamond ring on her engagement finger since April.

Nagel was apparently a huge fan of the actor when he starred on the beloved family drama decades ago, and she made no secret of her obsession on social media. Nearly 10 years ago, Nagel shared a clip of heartwarming moments from the show between Collins and his onscreen wife Catherine Hicks, writing:

“7th Heaven!! I have been watching this show since 1999… and those 2 r the best!! ..and I wanna have this kind of relationship (when I grow up)”

Dreams do come true, we guess…

In addition to their affinity for 7th Heaven, the couple also share a love of transcendental meditation (TM), and have been attending sessions in the nearby Maharishi Vedic City for members-only gatherings.

Collins has been deeply involved with TM for decades. In his apology statement, where he admitted to his unsavory behavior, the actor credited daily TM for not “[engaging] in any such behavior for over twenty years,” writing:

“I have been in extensive therapy for over twenty years, years of 12 Step recovery, personal growth workshops in therapeutic settings, private religious confession and consultation, daily prayers of atonement, and meditation every day. I have been in treatment continuously for over twenty years.”

Nagel moved to Fairfield in January 2018 to study at the Maharishi University Of Management, which was founded by spiritual guru and TM creator, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Its mission is to “provide a consciousness-based education holistic, relevant education for a successful life — not just a career — to ensure our happiness and to make real contributions in the world.”

Well, sounds like Collins and his wife — who, for those who haven’t done the math, was around 9 years old when the show started — are happy together. Let’s hope they’re doing as much TM as humanly possible.
