Looks like Shia may have been right!
Back in June, Shia LaBeouf announced that a fifth Indiana Jones movie was in the works, and that Harrison Ford had begun getting into shape to reprise his role.
We were definitely skeptical, but during a Q & A following a recent 30th anniversary screening of Raiders of the Lost Ark, both Steven Spielberg AND Harrison Ford hinted that another Indy flick IS in fact in the works.
During the session, Steven said that he is “hopeful for a 5th film,” which is certainly a good sign…assuming you think that a fifth Indy flick is a GOOD thing.
As for Harrison, he joked that he’d revisit the role one more time “as long as it’s not set on Mars.” Ha!
We wish we could muster some enthusiasm for more Indiana Jones, but after the disastrous Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, it’s just too difficult to get excited.
