Hell hath no fury like a an ex!
Steven Tyler and American Idol have parted ways permanently but the Aerosmith frontman is happy to explain where it all went wrong.
Apparently Fox pressured him to become the a-hole judge. The scathing Simon Cowell fill-in, if you will.
Steven prefers a gentler approach. He revealed:
“The show’s about kids and what you do to nurture their talent. They wanted me to take the p**s out of the kids and I don’t have that in me. That’s not what I’m about. That’s more about that other guy [Simon]. Not me.”
We applaud SteTy’s refusal to walk this that way!!
Those young kids pour out their hearts and souls to a live audience of millions.
When they screw up they know it. Why add insult to injury??
Steven knows there are worse jobs than being an Idol judge, though.
He admits:
“It was something to do while the storm blew by, to be honest… not my cup of tea. I loved it and hated it. It was a great job, I sat next to J.Lo and I made a ton of money. It was a moment in life and it became larger than life.”
Buckets of cash?? Working next to J.Lo — or Mariah Carey, as it were — all season long??
Where exactly can we sign up for this gig?
