As the start of the new season of American Idol quickly approaches, the world is trying to get a sense of what kind of judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez will be. Sources caught up with Steven at a recent event and asked him to describe his new partner in crime. He told them:
“First and foremost, she’s a lady and she’s not afraid to show that at any given time…She’s ridiculous. You know, she’s exactly what I thought she’d be. She’s street.”
Rad! We’re gonna get a cool mix of old-skool and new school J.Lo! That should keep things interesting!
As for how Steven is doing behind the judges table, he admits the gig is a bit harder than he originally thought. He explained:
“It’s hard when you have a kid who’s 15-years-old, who’s been watching American Idol for the last 10 years and some of them were awful. I just say something like, ‘Did you bump your head on the way in?’… I’m really not one for giving insults. They have a voice and I don’t want them not singing to their kids when they grow up.”
How nice! We think a certain former Brit judge would have disagreed with you, but hey, new show, new angle! We’ll see where all this nice stuff gets you!
