Stevie Nicks stood by her mother’s side until the end.
Now, the rocker has written a letter remembering her mother, chronicling the end of her mothe’rs journey and her mother’s inspiration on her.
In the letter she writes the following:
My mother always told me that I had been on a mission to take my music and my poetry to the world since I was 4 years old. She knew how overwhelmingly proud I was of “In Your Dreams” ~ and I know that right now she is whispering in my ear “Don’t give up that fight because I am gone ~ because I am not gone~; I am right here with my arms around you~ and you are singing to me and we are dancing…”
Stevie also goes on to thank the hospital staff and family and friends in the letter.
Barbara Nicks died December 28th at the age of 84.
