Sting Is Joining The Cast Of His Own Broadway Play The Last Ship! Last Ditch Effort To Try And Boost Sales??

no title
The Last Ship is a Broadway musical by 16-time Grammy winner Sting!!
What could’ve been an incredible show by an amazing artist turned out to be pretty underwhelming — we even reviewed the entire thing HERE if you’d like our in-depth analysis.
The play is pretty bleak and it takes a stab at being something great, but it just sadly falls short.
So we’re not surprised by this move: Sting is joining the cast!!

Yup, during a limited run, December 9th to January 10th, 2015, Sting will be replacing actor Jimmy Nail, who allegedly gave his blessing to the whole swap.
With the production reportedly losing about $75,000 a week since the play started on September 29th, things are in dire need of a financial boost.
The play needs to make a whopping $625,000 a WEEK to be able to break even and continue its Broadway run. Sting is big and all but those figures seem impossibly high!
We really hope bringing Sting on will drive some more people to the theater but sadly we feel like it’s too little too late.
