When you need some $$$ what do you do? You SUE, You SUE, You SUE!!!
This is just…weird.
Former Stonehill College student Lindsay Blankmeyer is suing the school for $150,000 in damages, claiming that college staff neglected to acknowledge complaints against her former roommates “sexual escapades.”
Apparently, her roommate’s sex adventures were SO distressing to Blankmeyer that she fell into a “deep depression” and had to seek out extensive psychiatric treatment.
BUT when you look at the facts, it seems that this is just another case of jealousy gone WAY TOO FAR.
Let us break it down for you:
Blankmeyer claims that she submitted a letter to the school detailing how her roommate would have physical and on-line sex right in front of her.
However, evidence shows that the letter Blankmeyer submitted to school housing officials on Feb. 2nd, 2011, was just a laundry list of what Blankmeyer didn’t like about her roommate: she kept the lights on, watched TV late into the night, left the door open, borrowed her things, and skyped with her boyfriend. Nowhere does it mention anything of a sexual nature.
This letter DID result in a mediation session directed by their RA, and Blankmeyer WAS offered a myriad of alternative housing options – but none suited her taste.
Eventually, she sought psychiatric help and finished her bachelor’s degree at home.
ALSO, sources who were close to the supposedly sex-mad roommate paint a very different picture of the girl, who remains unnamed during the trial. One friend said:
├óΓé¼┼ôIt├óΓé¼Γäós fabricated lies…This was a big issue last year. [Blankmeyer├óΓé¼Γäós roommate] did everything to help her.├óΓé¼┬¥
Another source stated:
├óΓé¼┼ôI├óΓé¼Γäóve known her since freshman year…It breaks my heart to hear things that are untrue about her. She├óΓé¼Γäós one of the nicest people I├óΓé¼Γäóve ever met├óΓé¼┬ªeveryone that knows her thinks she├óΓé¼Γäós nice. She├óΓé¼Γäós such a sweet, sweet person.├óΓé¼┬¥
The college claims that not once while Lindsay was a student did she bring up ANY concerns about her roommate’s sex life.
Hmm. What a strange story!! Do YOU think Blankmeyer is justified in her complaints??
