More devastating details about Darrell Sheets‘ tragic death have been revealed.
As we’re sure you’ve heard, the Storage Wars fan favorite sadly died by suicide at age 67 back in April. It all seemed so sudden, and his loved ones truly didn’t seem to expect this to happen. Most recently, one of his friends came forward and said he’d been planning a huge birthday party just weeks before his death.
But we also heard Darrell was very troubled. Recently, per a friend of his as well as some of his final social media posts, he had been dealing with cyber bullying. And a note that was found by that Lake Havasu Police Department, and recently obtained by multiple outlets, revealed that might’ve been a big devastation to his mental health.

The note was reportedly found in a black basket in the bathroom, nearby where Darrell was found dead. According to the police, the note showed shaky handwriting, and read:
“I could not take anymore the Facebook bulling [sic], f**k you, [redacted].”
So, so sad…
To make matters even more complicated, police reports indicate that Darrell had a fight with his son earlier in the day of his death. His girlfriend told police they argued over “family drama” to the point Darrell’s son was screaming at him. She said after his son left, Darrell said he felt “sad as hell” and like he’d let his son down.
She also claimed later in the day, Darrell got a text from his daughter-in-law, accusing his girlfriend of stealing money. She said this text left the Storage Wars star visibly upset.
Later that night, per his girlfriend, Darrell couldn’t sleep. She claimed he’d been struggling with insomnia and hadn’t slept well in months. She said he got up at some point during the night because of his inability to fall asleep, and she went to look for him. She found him standing in the doorway of his office, but he told her to just “go back to bed”.
After this, a single gunshot rang out through the house. Heartbreaking…
His girlfriend said he’d been under intense stress, but said their relationship was good leading up to his death. She also said no one expected him to harm himself, as he never talked about doing anything of the sort.
Such a devastating situation. Our heart continues to be with Darrell’s family, loved ones, and fans. May he rest in peace.
