Forget Snubbed, The Cast Of Straight Outta Compton Wasn't Even INVITED To The Oscars!

It’s no secret that Straight Outta Compton was one of the biggest Oscars snubs this year!
But with celebs like Will Smith and Spike Lee not attending the award show in protest of its lack of diversity, we’ve been wondering if the stars of the N.W.A. biopic would be following suit.
Well, it turns out they couldn’t if they wanted to, because the cast wasn’t even INVITED to the ceremony — and neither was the film’s producer Ice Cube!
According to TMZ, the only two people involved in the film who scored an invitation are Jonathan Herman and Andrea Berloff — the two (white) screenwriters who were nominated for Best Original Screenplay!

While sources say Ice Cube most likely wouldn’t have attended the event even if he did get an invite, the Ride Along 2 star will be attending the SAG Awards and NAACP Image Awards — which both nominated Straight Outta Compton in several categories.
It’s not clear what criteria the Academy has for extending an invitation, but we think the talented cast would have made an appropriate choice to fill in the extra seats this year!
Do YOU think the cast should have received an invitation?
