It seems Fox 2000 and Universal are throwing out 7-figure bids to get the rights to an original musical featuring tunes from the Beach Boys.
The script, which will be written by Susannah Grant, does not center around the group, but is crafted around their hits. It’s similar for what Mamma Mia! did for Abba.
