Isn’t it about time that the MEN were pressured to wear booty shorts on Halloween?! LOLz!
Just kidding! But this definitely made us stop and think for a minute…
Subway played into the notion that all women like to use Halloween as an opportunity to get scandalous with their costumes, and that means they MUST be skinny!

Well, that’s obviously not true on any level, so after receiving a ton of backlash for this commercial (above), they issued a ├óΓé¼╦£sorry, not sorry’ apology:
“We understand that some people may not have picked up on the intended humor in our Halloween commercial. Our objective was certainly not to offend anyone.”
It’s not that the sandwich maker outright said anything offensive, it’s more that they perpetuated the stereotypes that people are working hard to break down.
Not all women need to be pin-thin, and they certainly don’t need to dress up as ├óΓé¼╦£spicy red riding hood’ or ├óΓé¼╦£foxy fullback’ to look FAB on Halloween!
Ch-ch-check out the ad (above) in all of its wrongness!
