Brando Enterprises has filed a lawsuit against Joe’s Jeans.
The lawsuit claims the denim brand is “infringing and misappropriating the Brando name” in their marketing campaign for The Brando leather jacket as well as using one of the actor’s most famous film The Wild One as the title of their newsletter.
The estate says:

“At no time did (Brando Enterprises) ever give permission to (Joe’s Jeans, Inc) to use the name and mark ‘Brando’ or ‘The Brando,’ or the identity or persona of Marlon Brando… nor has (Brando Enterprises) ever received any compensation for such unauthorized commercial use of the Brando publicity rights.”

Brando Enterprises, which was started in 2009 by The Marlon Brando Living Trust, is seeking compensation and damages.
