Spinoffs of reality shows???? Is that really necessary???

ABC is planning to move forward with its own spinoff of Suppernanny.

They’ll no longer have nanny Jo Frost to help out. The idea is to have a similar show but with a male child-development expert coming in to analyze the situation.

The professional is child therapist Mike Ruggles from Chicago.

So the show will be called, what else, Supermanny. ABC will air its pilot episode this fall.

Executive producer Nick Emmerson said, “With a guy, he can connect with dads in a different kind of way. It’s really powerful stuff.”

Emmerson adds, “It feels different to have a guy come in to work with your kids. A woman has a woman’s touch, and people are more accepting and ready for her advice. We had to find the right person who has real authority and a gentle touch as well.”

This sounds lame!

But….

If we’re gonna go there, we’d rather see an all-male version of America’s Next Top Model.
