We know Susan likes to fight the system…but wow.
The Pope has been less-than-popular with many people lately after he called for unity against same-sex marriage among religions…but his #1 hater just might be Susan Sarandon.
During an on-stage interview at the Hamptons Film Festival this Saturday, Susan mentioned that she had sent a copy of the book version of her 1995 film Dead Man Walking to the Pope, and she said the following in clarification:
“The last one, not this Nazi one we have now.”
Not only that, but we’re hearing that Susan repeated he anti-Pope remark yet again for emphasis.
We certainly aren’t pleased with the Pope’s recent statement against same-sex marriage, but we’re not 100% sure if we’d publicly label the Pope a “Nazi.” VERY BOLD WORDS.
