Horrific SUV Crash At Bronx Zoo Kills Seven

An SUV claimed the lives of seven family members at the Bronx Zoo.
Driver Maria Gonzalez‘s SUV swerved into the median on the Bronx River Parkway at a very high rate of speed.
The SUV cut through the remaining lanes of traffic before free falling 50 feet into a heavily wooded area on the Bronx Zoo grounds.
Gonzalez, 45, along with Maria Nunez, 39, Jacob Nunez, 85, and Ana Julia Martinez, 81; and children Jocelyn Gonzalez, 10, Neely Rosario, 7, and Marly Rosario, 3, all perished in the crash.
Firefighters describe the grisly scene as heartwrenching and very sad.
A FDNY Deputy Chief Ronald Werner said the following:

You see young kids hurt or lose their life it’s always harder than when you find someone in an older age. It affects all our units.
