Suzanne Somers rocks the house with her business ventures 9 times out of 10, but sometimes she hits a rut.
In 2006, Suzanne and former Kentucky Governor John Y. Brown raised around $1 million in investors money to start a chain of stores that would “prepare and sell home cooked meals.”
While it seemed like a good idea, Somers and Brown violently disagreed over numerous aspects of the store, but ended up opening it anyway. It went bankrupt shortly after.
Said Craig Robertson, the attorney of one of the major investors:
“At the time of his investment, it was misrepresented to my client that there was an operating agreement and a licensing agreement between the Governor and Suzanne Somers. They took in money from investors and even opened that first store without telling their investors of their intense disagreements. Of course, none of their own money was at risk.”
Now she’s being sued, and despite her attempts to get the case thrown out, it’s still in the process of going through.
Yikes! We hope she has a kickass lawyer!
