What would you do if you saw a 40 foot long sperm whale trying to beach itself on a coast?
Well, two swimmers tried to ride the whale back out into the sea, and the whale died not too long after their efforts!!!
Authorities are trying to determine if their crazy antics had anything to do with the whale’s death.
Here’s what one investigator said:
“This whale was likely ill or injured and that is why it came in so close to shore. This type of harassment could have caused more harm and added stress to an already stressed whale and ultimately caused its demise.”
So not cool!
