How can you blame him??
Sylvester Stallone lost his eldest son on July 13, and unless you want to count Sage‘s funeral, the “devastated and grief-stricken” father has yet to make a public appearance since.
Skipping out on promotional events for The Expendables 2, Sylvie doesn’t plan on attending the El Lay premiere next week, either.
But his co-stars totally understand. Dolph Lundgren explains:
“Something like that is so severe. You can├óΓé¼Γäót really do anything. I sent him a handwritten note. I contributed to a charity for his kid. He knows we├óΓé¼Γäóre thinking about him. He knows us. He knows our prayers go out to him. But what are you going to do? I have two kids. And all you can do is hug your kids and go thank God it didn├óΓé¼Γäót happen to you.”
Randy Couture lends his condolences as well. He explains how everyone misses him but understands, saying:
“He is the leader of this group, both on-screen and off-screen. And so we miss him here. But we understand. We├óΓé¼Γäóre parents. We have kids. We can├óΓé¼Γäót really imagine what he├óΓé¼Γäós going through now. But what do you say? So we├óΓé¼Γäóre giving him space.”
Terry Crews also chimes in with:
“The best thing that we can do right now is hold it down here for him. This is his baby. This is one thing that he came up with that he├óΓé¼Γäós changed the world yet again. And I├óΓé¼Γäóm proud to be here and repping for him. Whatever he needs, we got him.”
Wow… such love and warmth from the co-stars. Sly’s really lucky to have such a strong support team behind him while he takes time off to heal.
Our thoughts are with him. We know it’s never going to be easy, but we hope he’s able to find peace through all of this.
